Jay Z might drop a surprise gig

Jay Z, who is all set to drop a new album - Magna Carta Holy Grail in just more than a week, continues to think of different and innovative ways to get his fans' attention. First, there was a surprise for fans - it was announced that Magna Carta would be dropping for One million Samsung Galaxy users 2 days before its official release. Now there are reports that Jay Z has another surprise for his fans, but that is really not a surprise anymore.

A leading New York based newspaper reported that Jay Z is planning a surprise gig on top of Ed Sullivan Theater in Times Square in New York City for "The Late Show With David Letterman" on 8th July. Apparently this has not been finalized yet as Jay Z is still looking for all the needed permits from the city as well as the approval of the mayor.

Back in the year 2010, Eminem and Hov tried a same kind of summer concert plan that in the end did not go through as the city had concerns for security and safety. Therefore, people would have to wait and see what happens next.

According to reports a law enforcement insider told a leading website that if he gets permission from the mayor’s office, it would be off the hook. They would have to shut down Broadway around the Letterman building and have to have a strong police presence. With so many fans, it would be a chaos.

Jay Z is teaming up with actor singer Justin Timberlake once again, and this time for the well known rapper's forthcoming album. The pair recently worked with each other on the hit track "Suit & Tie," which is a cut off of Justin's album, "The 20/20 Experience."
