Katie Holmes pays visit to Willy Wonka pop-up store without her kid Suri

A New York based pop-up shop, launched in alignment with a Charlie & the Chocolate Factory themed ice-lolly, saw a welcome visit from top Hollywood star Katie Holmes earlier on Thursday. But her young daughter was not there to enjoy the moments with her mom.

The thirty five year old American actress was in the Meatpacking District of the city where Willy Wonka’s shop is relishing temporary residence while it pushes new ice treat Peel-a-Pop. Holms was in a really happy mood as she posed for snaps with a rather bad-looking Oompa Loompa before trying out one of the lollies, which is a banana shaped ice-cream cased in peelable banana or grape flavored gelatine molds.

Still, with her visit taking place during weekday her 8 year old Suri could not be there. Holms’ only kid with her former husband Tom Cruise is attending the private school Avenues that has a US$ 40000 a year tuition.

The 215000 square foot huge academic establishment can hold up to one thousand six hundred students ranging from pre-Kindergarten to 9th grade. Relishing some rare time, the Batman Begins actor took a short walk through the winter themed landscape on 22 Little West 12th Street that would close its doors on 17th May, Saturday.

On Wednesday, the actress was seen taking a walk through the streets of New York – and she looked quite stylish in skinny jeans and a patterned blouse.
