Jay-Z Launches the Lavish 40/40 club

After the birth of their baby girl Blue Ivy, Jay-Z steps out for the first time to celebrate the re-opening of the New York nightclub 40/40. Club 40/40 had served the New York night life for nine years until the summer of 2011 when Jay-Z and his business partner Juan Perez announced that the club needs renovation and would be shut down.
The club was renovated and went through a total makeover under the renowned interior designer Jeffrey Beers.

Blue Ivy Carter, is not even two weeks old and everyone hoped that the new dad Jay-Z would be seen along with the new mom Beyonce for the re-opening of his club 40/40. Unfortunately, Beyonce was unable to attend the celebration, rather stayed home with the baby girl. It definitely was more appealing and rewarding to spend time with the new born.

The proud dad was all smiles that evening and he definitely had all the reasons to celebrate. Jay-Z was greeted with plenty of good wishes by the ones inside the club and also the bystanders. He was also greeted at the celebration of the re-launch of 40/40 club and also the birth of Blue Ivy Carter by many of his friends including Spike Lee, Ashanti, Warren Buffett and rapper Wale. It was reported that Jay-Z hit the VIP area at the 40/40, where along with the bottles of Patron and Ace of Spade Champagne; he was seen passing over his phone to Swizz Beatz and Russell Simmons which probably was showing off the pictures of the new born with a big smile on his face.

Though Beyonce couldn’t make it to the party, yet she made a token appearance with her music. The club pumped out few of her hit tracks like “countdown” and “Love on top”.
