Jay-Z becomes director

Jay- Z is not the Chairman of the Board like other New York based music celebrities, but Jay-Z can aptly call himself "Director of the Arena." He has another feather added to his crown. He has been listed under his real name Shawn Carter. It reads as "director" for the Brooklyn Arena LLC. This company runs under the Brooklyn’s Barclays Center.

The new title came out in the papers which were in papers filed by developer of arena Forest City Ratner Cos. in its aim to protect a liquor license. Being one of the Directors, Jay Z, who is a celebrated rapper and music tycoon, is geared up to attend board meetings and aid direct arena senior staff for its daily operations, as per the declaration of Barclays Center officials.

He is helping the Nets design the logos of team. These logos will be done on the jerseys which are yet to be released. He had worked really hard to make the eleven luxury arena suites named “The Vault."

One who will be in the suites which costs $550,000 each was treated like a child by the husband of singer Beyonce. Jay Z even helped to choose fork, champagne and napkins.

The news that he is the new Director came out as the Arena officials stated that they would extend the drinking hours. The news first cropped up when it was reported by the blog Atlantic Yards Report.

Jay Z will share the title of the director with Mary Anne Gilmartin, Ratner, David Berliner, Irina Pavlova, Christophe Charlier and David Carlock. Whereas Berliner and Gilmartin are high level officials at Ratner's company, Charlier is at present the deputy CEO of Onexim. Onexim is owned by Nets possessor Mikhal Prokhorov.
